hi everyone! today i’m sharing some of my favorite brands that are actively taking steps to change the world for the better, through donations, sustainable practices, and promoting positivity in the mental health space. i truly admire each and every one of these brands, and i’m so excited to share them with you! i made sure to include my personal favorite product picks for you to browse through. enjoy reading, and feel free to reach out to me with any questions!

it’a so important to support brands that give back, because then you’re truly making an impact with your purchase, and making a statement every time you rock your merch. these are some of the best brands i’ve discovered that give back! i’d highly recommend checking out their websites- their pieces and brand missions are incredibly admirable.
happiness project
happiness project is a clothing company that donates 15% of their profits to mental health research, specifically to nami. it was founded based on the concept that “enough is enough, no person should battle their mental struggles alone,” and continues to spread positivity and fight stigmas every day.

you can never go wrong with a simple sweatshirt, especially when it’s as comfortable as this one! these sweatshirts are such amazing quality, and super soft.
this purple color is my favorite, but they’re also available in black and pink. i have the purple and i’ve been wearing it constantly this summer, and it’s the perfect pastel shade to wear year-round!
DREAM clothing
DREAM clothing is an amazing brand, self titled “streetwear with a purpose.” 10% of their sales are donated to help raise funding and awareness for mental health initiatives, more specifically to nonprofits who spread mental health awareness and strive to find new cures for mental illness. DREAM stands for dreams rule everything around me, and aims to encourage anyone suffering from any sort of mental illness to keep fighting, no matter how hard their struggles are.

this hoodie has been another one of my favorites, and you could even say that it’s out of this world (pardon the tacky pun).
but seriously, this sweatshirt is incredibly cool and i really love the unique design!
they also just launched this super cool t-shirt (it comes in black and white) that i absolutely love!
the play on the logo is really clever, and the shirt looks super soft. i’d definitely recommend getting your hands on one of these!
maison de choup
maison de choup is a fashion brand “with a mental health cause at its heart,” who donates 25% of their proceeds to youngminds. they also support heads together, which is a campaign to end the stigma around mental health by sharing and raising awareness on social media. it’s truly an amazing brand, and one whose designs are effortless and full of intention.

this tee is so cute, and very affordable at $21! it was designed by abbie, a member of the brand’s audience, to spread a message of empowerment and positivity.
i love the simple yet meaningful message, and this unisex shirt is soft and comfy! you definitely need to get your hands on a maison de choup tee, this one is my new favorite white shirt!
the mind journey merch
the mind journey merch is another amazing clothing brand creating designs that supports mental health. they donate 15% of profits to youngminds and jigsaw ymh, and 15% to the trevor project for united states customers. it’s a small brand with incredible potential and thoughtful designs, and a wide range of colors available to customize products with!

as an animal lover, this crewneck is definitely one of my new favorites! it has a photo of a dog or cat on it, and underneath it says “my favorite therapist.”
my dogs are two of my best friends (however tacky you might think that is haha) and i fell in love with this design as soon as i saw it!

rad vibes only
rad vibes only is one of the first clothing brands i had the honor of working with, and i’ve been following their journey ever since. they’re “where comfort meets inspiration” and every purchase supports mental health america. they’re a united states based, ethically made, female-owned small business that i highly recommend supporting!

this corduroy crew is super soft and so comfy! i’m so excited to wear it on a rainy day in, or out and about to run errands!
the teal color is absolutely stunning, and i love the vintage look of it. the fit is cozy and perfectly oversized, and i can’t emphasize how comfortable this crew is. definitely an essential for the fall season.
this feels right
this feels right is a newer brand that donates to the mental health coalition! they’re incredibly passionate about mental health and normalizing stigmas around it, and it shines through their products. they’re a lifestyle company dedicated to creativity, authenticity, and individuality, and they’re a little over a year old.

this tote bag is super cute and i love that it’s denim! it’s perfect for running errands, bringing to the grocery store, and so many other daily activities.
it’s super sturdy and i’ve been taking it everywhere, and getting so many compliments on it! my friends have also tried to steal it… definitely a hot commodity item!
i’m also completely obsessed with these socks! the left one says “this feels left” and the right says “this feels right,” and they come in white and black!
i love how the writing sticks out above my sneakers (nike all the way!) and adds the perfect touch to whatever i’m wearing! they’re so soft and comfy, you can’t go wrong with either color- both will definitely “feel right!”
ban.do
ban.do is donating 15% of their net proceeds on all sales (of ban.do products) for one full year to the loveland foundation. they’re a los angeles based brand. they exist to help customers be their best, encouraging joy with every purchase!

this weekender bag is so cute, i can’t wait to travel again just so i can use this bag! it’s so roomy and has space for all of my essentials (and then some), and there’s also a super convenient mesh pouch inside that the whole bag fits into for easy storage.
my mom saw this as soon as the package was delivered, and stole it immediately! not only is this bag perfect for trips and travel, but it’s a thoughtful gift for anyone in your life! it’s also available in some other super chic patterns, all of which i’m obsessed with.
clothes with empowering reminders on them are such a staple in my closet- it’s important to wear clothes that make you feel good inside and out.
i love the message on this cute sweatshirt, and these comfy shorts are incredibly soft and cozy! ban.do has some of the cutest but unique pieces i’ve seen in a while, and they always have amazing deals! make sure to check them out.
hope fragrances
hope fragrances was founded and named after the creator’s mother, hope. hope loved and always surrounded herself with white flowers, and struggled with depression for decades. the founder of hope fragrances founded hope for depression research foundation (HDRF) in 2006 to discover new medication, treatments and prevention of depression, and all profits from fragrances go to depression research.

this hope night eau de parfum vaporisateur spray smells like some of my favorite scents: lily-of-the-valley, gardenia, plum, amber, vanilla, patchouli, and vetiver.
in addition to its amazing scent, i absolutely love the packaging! it’s really elegant and sophisticated, and would make the perfect gift for that special someone in your life.

the tote project is an absolutely amazing brand that’s donated over $29k to support sex trafficking survivors and those at risk. by shopping with them, you’re joining a movement of hope that promotes fair shopping and empowerment.

sustainable brands
according to mcgill university, sustainability means “meeting our own needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” now more than ever, we need to be aware of where our money is going and how we can literally change the world through our actions and the clothes we purchase. i learned so much about slow fashion and the sustainability movement through working with the brands i mention below, and i am so excited to share them with you!
siizu
siizu is a sustainable fashion brand that makes eco fashion natural fabric, and also donates to plant trees! they partner with american forest and girl rising to make the earth a better place, and all of their products are absolutely beautiful. shop til you drop, knowing you’re making a difference, and stock your closet full of some of the best essentials i’ve ever worn!

this v-neck tee is one of my new all time favorite basics- it’s incredibly soft and super comfortable! if you’re like me and always find yourself buying new black tees in search of the perfect shirt, look no further!

next up, we have one of my new favorite cardigans (do you see a trend here?). i love love love the super pretty green color of this cardigan, and it’s the perfect oversized fit without being too slouchy!

for days is a brand that truly cares about creating and selling good products. they use the highest quality, sustainable materials, and focus intensely on fit and finishing details. for days also ensures that every item is 100% recyclable, minimizing waste with things like reusable packaging and company-wide carbon offsets. in addition, they also created a SWAP program where you can swap out anything, anytime, for any reason for a great price. everything you send back gets recycled! this is called a closed loop system and it’s pretty revolutionary.

MATE the label is a clean essentials brand made sustainably in los angeles with non-toxic, natural and organic materials. their supply chain is localized, their materials are environmentally conscious, and they use 100% recycled materials for shipping mailers and boxes to prevent waste. to quote their founder, "our goal is to offer women everywhere a clean product that is just as beautiful as it is sustainable. we are proud to be a female founded company that is predominately operated by women."

these are two different products, but i love to wear them as a set! the shade of blue is so pretty, and i’ve never really seen this color in loungewear before!
both are made with 100% organic cotton french terry, a material that uses 87% less water than conventionally grown cotton and emits 45% less greenhouse gases.

brands promoting positivity
everyone needs a bit more positivity in their life, and what better place to start than with our clothing? i love seeing people rock positive messages of inspiration in their daily looks, and it’s something that i’m trying to do more often! the brands below are the ones i find myself going to when i’m searching for the perfect positive reminder, and i have no doubt that you’ll love them as much as i do!

positif is a clothing and lifestyle brand that focuses on spreading positivity through beautiful minimalistic designs emphasizing important life values! their clothing adds the perfect touch to any look, and their new lifestyle products add a hint of happiness to any space!

this pullover is another one of my picks- i love a simple black crewneck that’s cozy and goes with everything! the message on this is “explore the world,” which is something i’m so excited to do after i finish my academic journey.

lonely kids club
lonely kids club is a clothing brand that believes clothes should be personal, and is mental health positive, sweatshop free, gender neutral, and pro- slow fashion. all of their designs are designed, drafted, and conceptualized from scratch, and the products are made ethically. their clothes are super unique, creative, and intentional- three things that i rarely see in other brands!

i love how lonely kids club is mental health positive, which is why i was immediately drawn to it. it’s so important to be kind to your mind, and there aren’t enough shirts advocating for it!
